Thanksgiving

Ok so we are having it at my house this year! Yeah! We are going to start the game at 11:00 here and then when we are done with the game we will eat. JM has to work that day but he doesn't have to be there till 4:30 so as long as we eat and play the game before then we will have him and Ash and G. YEAH! So what is everyone going to bring again. We will have a movie upstairs for the kids and grownups too. So we can play other games or whatever. So I can't wait it's going to be alot of fun. Let me know what everyone is planing on bring.

General Ickyness

Well it all started Friday night... we noticed her trying to go potty on our rug in the bathroom. Didn't think anything really of it she has done that before. Then Saturday morning caught her doing the same thing on my dirty clothes, so I swatted her bum she ran away crying... So lil hubby took her to the litter box. Noticed it needed to be cleaned so he did that, and put her in. In case you were wondering who I am talking about it is my Baby Girl! So lil hubby was watching her and she wasn't going potty just sitting there. So he called the vet, left a message and so I went to work and left him with our lil girl. So when I got to work lil hubby called and said the vet called him and told him to bring her on in. So when he got there they told him they were full for the day but we would have to leave her and they would get to her when they could. So they ended up calling and saying she didn't have anything in her bladder so she couldn't get a urine sample, so she would have to stay over night. So Sunday we got a call from the vet again saying they finally got a urine sample but it had crystals in it, which could mean she might have stones but they wouldn't know that unless they do a x-ray but they need our consent to sedate her so they could do the x-ray. So we called the vet and said that it would be ok but she wanted to know if they found stones would we want to do surgery it would cost about $300-$500. They wouldn't do anything until Monday but still needed to know if that is what we were wanting to do. If they already had her sedated then they would go in and do the surgery right away. So I told her I would let her know on Monday. Lil hubby and I talked about it and decided if she needed it we would pay for it. What else could we do for her. So this morning I called and told them we would do the surgery if needed, but to call us and let us know what they find before they do the surgery. So lil hubby calls me about 10:30 and says she is ok. She didn't have stones just a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) I know in cats that is so weired! They told us that we could come pick her up when we wanted to. So $212 later we have our baby home and she is having to put them both on a special diet. We also have to give her antibiotics every day for two weeks I hope that goes ok we shall see tomorrow. We also have to put both on a special food I hope they don't have to stay on it but we shall see. So that was our weekend. It was a lot of fun. I am just glad we didn't have to do surgery.

Quirks

So I know I was the first one to get tagged for this game but I have had the hardest time coming up with my quirks so I decided to name 6 of my work quirks! I have a little OCD at work and things have to be a cretin way or I fix it. So I don't know if it really qualifies but I am going to do it.


1. So when I buy money from the vault and we do our tickets, we have to staple tickets together they have to be stapled on the side. If someone puts it in the middle I will take the staple out and put it in the right spot.

2. When I fold my tape it has to be even. I have been known to redo someones tape because it was so uneven.

3. My money has to be a certain way. When I have it strapped the paper clips have to be in a certain place. My drawer has to be facing a certain way.

4. When I sign on to my computer I have to have everything in a certain order. My Bankway, email, calculator, and then synapsys. If something is out of place I have to shut down everything and put it in that order.

I can't think of anything else.

Were Home!!

We made it home finally! After 19 hours on a plane. I never want to be on a plane again! I am so glad to be home. It was a great trip though. I can't wait to share with everyone my trip but I am not putting anything on here till after Sunday. I hope I will be able to put pictures on here. So we have church on Sunday at 10:00 in Plano. We will be leaving my house at 9:30 if you would like to go and follow us. After we get done at church we will come back to our house and eat. So Cammeron we may be having dinner at my house what time are you coming in? I hope to see everyone soon!

Africa here we come!!!!

So I am so excited it is finally here!!! I am doing laundry right now in my new washer and dryer it is so nice! Samsung Steam washer and dryer! It is so quite compared to what we did have! One of the things I got to get when lil hubby finally got home from his month long work trip! So can you believe in 1 day we will be in Uganda Africa! It is so crazy to think. I hope I have everything packed and ready. This week was very stressful. My boss was out all week in Lending School and so everything had to go wrong! So I get to work on Monday just like any other day I am thinking I am going to get a lot accomplished I get to leave at 4:45 so everything is good. So the first thing that went wrong was I got an email saying our ATM was showing out of money. I thought that's not right. I knew we had a lot in there so I went out and checked the totals and there was plenty left in there. So now I have to try to figure out what the heck is wrong. So we go out there and reset it. Didn't help it gave me a new error message. So when our new part timer came in the other teller and I went out and shut it down again and brought the canisters in to count. Had to move some of the money around and took it back out still an error message. CRAP I am going to have to call Diebold! So we go back inside and I go to call Diebold and our Loan Secretary comes over to me and says I am doing a Loan right now and there's a lady sitting over there needing to open an account. So after I get done calling Diebold and telling them it's an emergency I go get the lady to open her account. She need to open a POA account. I haven't ever opened one. So I called our Operation person to find out what I need to do. I got it figured out and Actually got it opened! Now if I don't have any exceptions on it then I will be excited! So while I was waiting for the paper to print our part timer said hey I need to talk to you. I said ok just a min let me finish with this customer and I will be right back. So I finish and got talk to him and he said I need to go home I am sick. I have thrown up 3 times already today. I said ok start working on getting out of here. It would be ok I will just close for you and our other part timer will be in about 1:30. So he is getting ready to leave and I answer the phone and it's the other part timer. She is sick also and wont be in. CRAP! Ok we can handle this. So I go talk to my big boss and let him know what's going on and he said well I will call Van Alstyne and see if they can help us out. WOW all of a sudden I just got really tired! I don't know if it has to do with that it's almost 2:00 AM in the morning!SO I think I will finish the story when I get home.


I wanted to also put out there for my family and friends on Sunday October 26th to come to my church at 10:00 to hear the report from our trip. I just have to brag......

So work has been very crazy lately! We had a teller decide to go to another location but it was a good thing because she was kind of hard to work with. She was very hard to read and she would joke around but you just didn't know when it was a joke or if it was real. She didn't really want to learn from me at all. She would rather mess up than have me show her anything and I was supposed to train people on things. Also she didn't like the fact that I was doing retail stuff either. But she decided to go work in Van Alstyne which was a very good thing. So we got on the ball looking for someone. We found the perfect person. When Hope (my boss) called him and asked him if he wold like to come in and interview he said yeah I will be right there. So after she talked to him and everything she knew he was the best person for us. We were ready to get a guy in there also too many women and too much drama! So we were lucky enough to get to hire him. He lives in Van Alstyne and is an Art Major. The only days he can't work is Tuesday and he has to come in late on Thursday but every other day he can be in by 10 and he had no problem working every Saturday! He has two years at Chase bank in Sherman so it was destiny. So her last day was last Friday and his first day was Monday. We had him shadow me and another teller to show him our system, and that night he told Hope he was ready to be in his own drawer on Wednesday! So were happy to say the least! So he is doing very well. So back to my original story it has been a crazy week with him starting and everything else going on. Hope had to leave early today and she was going to be off so we had to figure out some scheduling issues this morning. So we decided since she had to leave early today I would stay till 4:30 and then I had to leave because I had an eye appointment I had to get to. And then tomorrow I was going to leave early but we didn't have enough people to close so I am going to work all day. So after we got that all fixed she went back to her office and a little bit later I get an email from her asking me to do something for her and then at the end of it she writes this.

I want to tell you how much I appreciate you! I am so lucky to have you! I can promise you that your dedication and support for me does not go unnoticed. You have come a long way and I will guarantee you that you will be rewarded in time (near future). You have to trust me...I know you have taken on a lot more responsibility, but as with anything we have to see you up hold this. You are a true team player and I know you will succeed as long as you keep going down the same path you are now! I know I don't tell you often enough how much I appreciate you, but I do!!!!!


I was so excited I know she appreciates everything I do for her but it's still nice to hear it. So let me finish the rest of my day. So a customer comes in the drive thru and cashes some checks but also wants to know who can renew a CD so I tell the teller I can and Hope and the other Retail person in our branch can, so she tells her that and she said she would call in a few min to get that taken care of. Well I had done a renewal the other day for her and had some paperwork for her to sign. So we had her come to the commercial lane and take care of it. So she leaves little did we know she didn't take her money out of the tube, till we had a customer go to that lane and tell us that someone forgot there money. So we knew exactly who's it was so we called her and left her a message. When she called back I told her we had it and she could come pick it up. Well she said I am in Sherman and I don't know if I will be back in time to pick it up and I really need this money. So I said I have a eye doctor appointment in Sherman where are you going to be I will take it to you where will you be. So it was decided that I would call her when I left work and find out where to meet. So I hang up and go about my business. I ended up leaving late. So I called the customer and figured out where to meet. So I called my eye doctor to let them know I would be a little late. They asked how late and if it was going to be after 5:15 it wouldn't give the doctor enough time to get everything done before we close at 6:00 so I said ok well go ahead and cancel this appointment and I will just make another one for next week. So when I meet up with the customer she was very appreciated that I took my time to do all of this for her. She asked me when I was going to be running the bank! Of course I didn't tell her that I missed my appointment but it was still nice to be able to help someone out. So that was my day and my bragging rights are over. The thing your parents never taught you......

I hope that after this post you will have learned something from me and you won't make the same mistake I made! So I learned yesterday that it's not a good thing to put plastic in your eyes! It scratches your eye and then you can't see very well. Then when you go the the doctors office they decide to dilate your eyes. It feels like your eye is going to pop out of your eye! I know I know what you are saying to yourself. Why did she put plastic in her eye to find out it's not a good thing. Well I didn't do it on purpose. I was washing my hair and I closed my shampoo bottle and something flew into my eye. I tried to get it out but I couldn't then by the time I got to work I could tell I couldn't see out of my eye very well. Lucky I was able to get an appointment in the same day! So as I was telling mom that she said she was sorry she never taught me not to put plastic in my eyes. It was a very small piece but never the less it did scratch my eye. I am ok so don't worry about me. So just everyone be careful around anything plastic especially if it's flying thru the air!!!!

Explanation

Ok so Al sent me a message about my last post and said I needed more information. So I decided to write and let everyone know the whole story! So last year Toby and his dad got a call from a friend of the family that had a job that they might be interested in. It was a cell phone company merging into another company. So they needed people to go out and measure and do alot of other stuff at the cell phone tower so him and his dad were able to go out and work for 3 months and we were able to buy our house. But last year he was able to stay in Texas but he was out for awhile but was still able to come home. Well back to this year. His parents went to Panajachel, Mexico to sell a hummer they bought so Toby was here taking care of the business. Well last week he got a call from the same family friend who called them last time and said hey they have another job do you want to do it? Toby said yeah sure so Tuesday of this week he got up at 4 AM and drove to Tulsa to be at the meeting for the sites. He was gone till Wednesday so when I talked to him he told me that he would be going to California for the trip this time. So he called on the guy who helped him last time and he couldn't go with him so he was trying to figure out who could go with him so he called his sister and she said she would help. So they are leaving out on Monday so they can try to get back before we leave for Africa so he can be here for some of the meetings! I hope that all makes since. If anyone has any more questions about it let me know!

California here comes my lil hubby!!

Yes that is right you read it right. My lil hubby is going to California for a month!!! He will be leaving on Monday the day after my birthday and won't be back till the end of September right before we leave for Africa! So I will have to get everything ready for that trip by myself!! I am so not ready for this I can't be without him for a month! He is taking his sister so I hope everything goes well for him but we shall see. So we are rushing around right now trying to get everything done before he leaves. In other news I had training for the past three days in Denison I am done thank goodness. It was about selling our products to the customer and I just hope I pass. I am sure I will but you never know. Next week is going to be pretty hard since he is leaving and then we are going to be short handed as it is. One teller is on vacation all next week, another teller is in training for two days and then the part timer is starting back to school and her hours are kind of crazy! Pulse we are having to keep track of everything we do for the day. So it will be very interesting! I guess that is all I have for now. Till next time!

Holy Moly Guacamole!!!!

So ~e called me this afternoon and said hey how serious were you about running that 5k and training for it. I said why.... she said because I have a very sticked regiment we can follow if you would like. I would like to have someone be with me. So I said sure so we are going to be running every Tuesday and Thursday! Today was the first day.... let me tell you I didn't do so well. ~e ran a whole 2 miles and I may have ran 1 mile maybe. So this is going to be a lot of fun. I will keep everyone posted on how I am doing. I am so sore already. I am going to Madill the next couple of days for training. I am going to learn how to open checking accounts. I already know but I am going to get more training. I am going to go to bed now. I am very tired!

Long Long Week

SO it has been a very long week. I have been very busy. Last Friday I had a bachelorette party Friday after I got off work. We went to Dave and Busters to eat and play games. We stayed there till 9 or so then went back to Whitesboro. We went back to one of the girls parents house and stayed in there pool house. We played games and hung out and then they started playing Guitar Hero and I didn't get into bed till AM!!! Then we woke up at 8 AM and didn't go to bed that night till after 11 PM then got up at 8 AM to get ready for church and I taught the Toddlers that day. So that started my whole week. Being very tired!



Monday I got to work 7:45-4:45 not too bad it was busy and I did a wire for a customer that needed to go to New Zealand which needed to be sent in New Zealand currency. I called the wire desk and asked if that was possible and she said yes. She told me to get approval for the wire which I have to do if it's over a certain amount. So I did all that got the customer to sign and thought everything was good. More to come!!! Got a call from The Oldest (aka ~e's oldest boy) and asked me if I wanted to go for a walk at 7 O'Clock I said yes I would love to. So I had to go to McKinney to drop off a my dress for the wedding I am in next Saturday to get fixed then went and got dinner and went home ate and changed clothes and with lil hubby in tow we went for a walk. It was great! Except for when The Middle boy fell off his bike right after we left and scraped his elbow. It wasn't bad at all but he thought it was... He cried the whole time until the very end when we decided to race home and they beat us!!! Then he was like it's not bad....


Tuesday I got to sleep in I didn't have to be at work till 9:15 yeah right wrong!!! I got there and I had several things wrong.. I had cashed a check that didn't have a routing number or account number on the bottom of the check so I had to call the customer and let them know they either needed to bring me the money back or I would take it out of there account. She said I didn't know you needed all that on the check. So they said to take it out of there account. Ok first problem solved. Then I had a call from the Wire Desk... Oh great I called and they said I am sorry I was wrong we can't send money in New Zealand currency it has to go out in American money. So she said she went out and found a currency exchange and wanted to know if we could just use that. So I had to call the customer and ask. I said would you like to call the customer who the wire is going to and find out how much to send then. And she said no just send what you are saying. So I call the Wire Desk back and tell them that. Second Problem solved. (So I thought....) There was other things that went on that day but I can't remember. I went home and walked again with ~e and her boys, it was time for The Oldest to have a melt down. During that day I got a call from my sister in law saying I am in a wedding on Saturday and I need help with some stuff. And she was supposed to come by and smell some smells for a candle wormer I was going to get for her. So she was going to come by that night. She ended up calling at 10 saying she wasn't going to come over that night. No problem. So I went to bed..



Wednesday I got to work and everything was going to be good.... Until I I checked my account I had sent out a check to my mortgage company who payed my Home Owners Insurance even though we paid at closing but they didn't realize that... So we had gotten a refund from our Insurance for the full amount. So I finally go someone and they said just send the check and write a note and say please apply to my Escrow account so I won't be short and the end of the year. Well I went on to my online account and guess what... I was behind a PENNY!!!! I was like I know I paid the correct amount.... Then I was looking and my Escrow account didn't look right either. So I asked our In house Home mortgage person and she said I would call them... So I got on the phone and called them right away. I got someone and she told me that the check I just sent them didn't go to my Escrow account it went to my principal or something like that. So she also said my payment went up a Penny I have no clue as to why it just did!! So next time I get to pay a penny more than what the payment says. Everything was going pretty good or so I thought. My boss left early because she needed to go get her nails did no biggie I can handle it. So everything was going good and then my wire customer came in... I said hi how are you and she said not good. I think we sent too much money. She said can you explain to me how you came up with that figure. So I said let me call the wire desk while I was doing that the other girls got a phone call and one of them yelled for my boss well she had just left. So she went back there and was talking to the her two girls kind of loudly and I know my customer was hearing everything...... So when I told the wire person that our customer thought we sent too much she said oh yeah I think we did. So I said what is the next step. It is to retract the wire and we are at the mercy of the other bank to send it back and it could take up to a week. I apologized the the customer and she said it's not your fault the wire desk should know all of this. She also said "My husband is not going to be happy." So after I left work I had to go home so I could go with my sister in law make bows and go to the church to see how we can decorate it. So we actually made 8 bows and they looked really good. What do you think?? I think I did a good job considering I have only watched my mom do this. Go me!!! So we got back from the church about 9:30 so I talked to my lil hubby for a lil bit and then went to bed.



Thursday it seemed like Friday all day long but I am glad to have tomorrow off even though I have to go to the church with my sister in law. So I get to work this morning and it was good. Not bad at all till my wire customer comes in with her husband!! Then they go in with my boss who is over the whole bank! Let me tell you I was worried. I went to talk to my other boss and she told me not to worry about it. Well they were in there talking about the wire. They were not happy. My head honcho boss said I didn't do anything wrong. But we had to bring in the Boss who is over all the Texas branches. We ended up sending almost $4,000.00 when it should have been close to $1,600. So we refunded the first wire and the fee and we are resending the wire for the right amount. We are just at the mercy of the New Zealand bank for us to get our money back! If not then corporate will eat it. Since it was a wire desk mistake!!! Which is good I just hate that this happened. I didn't do anything wrong!! Then we had another customer come in who is a partner no not gay partner! But Business partner comes in wanting to know what's going on with there account because the other partner doesn't let him know what's going on. So he took all the money out and wanted the statements. So we gave it to him and he was wanting to know about a transfer that was done the day before. So we start looking at it and this guy transfered money out of the account he was looking at to another business account he had then to his personal account. Which is very interesting. It was the same dollar amount. Well when we asked the teller about it she said oh well I put it in the wrong account the first time so instead of reversing the first transfer she just transfered out of the wrong account into the new account. So when I told her that she should have reversed the wrong one she was just like sorry I didn't know that I should have done that. Bull CRAP!!! Well after we got done talking I went back to my station and not two minutes later she said hey can you come here for a min. So I said yeah and went back there and she said. Hey you know what just a few minutes ago I don't appreciate the way you talked to me. I felt like you were talking down to me. You told me to tell you when you did this so I am. I said thank you I wasn't trying to do that. So that made me upset because she is just saying that for a power thing.... Oh well it's all good. After I got off work I went to get my dress. Which fit and had a guy almost run me over! GRRR then I went to Chili's with Amanda and 002! We ate Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie yummy!


So that was my week so far. I will have to post again so I can let you know how the wedding goes and everything else. I hope everyone has a great 4th!!!

Thoughts

Ok so I know it's been a while since I wrote anything. I have been busy at work. I know that's not a good excuse but I have been doing more Retail stuff. I have been helping my boss out more. I have opened up 3 count it 3 Safe Deposit Boxes. They are not that easy either especially when you have a mean customer standing in front of you! I have also opened up 4 or so new accounts. I am absolutely loving it. I just wish I had my own desk so I don't have to open the accounts at my station where everyone can see! That is coming soon.




In other news my lil hubby is getting a new job! I am so excited he is going to have a real schedule he will come home at a decent hour we will get to start walking at night together and have a real life! I just hope he decides to take it. He says it doesn't pay enough but it pays very well just not what he deserves Go figure.





We had Father's Day at our house on Sunday. I had lunch for my father in law, I made Ham and Pink Stuff and my sister in law brought Sweet Potatoes and crescents rolls. It was really good. My first Ham and I didn't mess it up! Then we had dinner for my family! We had Turkey burgers and Hot Dogs for the kids. Lil Hubby smoked everything and he did a very good job. Amanda brought baked potatoes, JM brought homemade hot sauce and peach cobbler. ~e brought a yummy salad. It was so crazy I am very glad we have the stained concert we had someone who spilled there drink and then some how mustard got on the floor and someone was walking in it. It was a very good clean up!

Hello Blogging World

So I finally got talked into getting a blog!





We had a baby shower for my JM and Ashley today and ~e had a wonderful idea for me to make a Diaper Cake. So I went over to her house on Friday and made it. It turned out really cute.


The Oldest and Middle Boy kept asking us when we were going to bake the cake! It was very cute. My lil hubby picked out the cutest onesie for them that said Sleep if for the Weak. It was so cute he brought over one that was a preemie and he asked if they were going to need a preemie and I said probably not. Well he brought two back over and asked me which one would be the best. I was on the phone with ~e at the time and I told her about the two onesie my lil hubby brought over and he said these aren't onesie they are 3-6 months. He didn't know they were all called onesie. It was very cute how clueless he is when it comes to kids stuff. He is going to be the best daddy when the time comes!


So we just bought our first lil house! We have been working so hard on getting our house the way we want it. My lil hubby has been working non stop for a whole month and I think we finally have it done! I will try to get before and after pictures posted soon.
